True Story Tuesday

Oh my Kendall bug! She brings me great joy, great stress, laughter, a few tears, and yes even a few grey hairs with her incessant questions.
I recently started reading bible stories to her at night before bed. She just got her very own big girl bible and bible cover so I figured while her attention is mine for the taking that I would get her interested.
These nighttime sessions have brought about several interesting conversations. Two nights ago, she told me "that Abraham and Sarah could NOT have an Isaac because that was not Ben's and my names. " In fact, "mom you are so silly your name is Jamie Lynn and daddy is Benjamin." Well yes! I tried to explain to her that there are other people that have our same names but she was not having it. There is simply not another Isaac in the world! Heaven help me when she realizes that there are other Kendall's!
Tonight, we were talking about the 10 commandments. It was AMAZING how much she understood about them. However, the phrasing in her book for adultrey was something like "a husband and wife must keep their relationship special."
"Mom what does that mean?"
"What does what mean?"
"A husband and wife keeping their relationship special?"
"Well, that a husband and wife are only allowed to kiss one another and not any other adults."
"But you kiss grammy & pappy!"
"hmmmm....well that is different. It just means that daddy and I will only love one another."
"Do you mean that you don't love me?"
"No Bug momma loves your very much. Daddy and I have a different kind of love."
"oh"
SWEATING Bullets over here!

Totally cracking up at her questions on the Ten Commandments! Only because I am terrified of my son figuring out how to ask ME those questions! hee hee

Those were great - sounds like lots of learning at your place!

Thanks for linking up! :)
