Each morning before school we pray together. The kids have their "normal" prayer requests but some days they really crack me up with the other requests they come up with. Today was no exception!
Kendall prayed for "daddy's mustache to get as long as him."
Isaac prayed for "daddy to have a really fun day!"
Not to be outdone, Kymber volunteered something she was thankful for (something we also try to do is express gratitude!)
Kymber is thankful for "my nack." (Which is snack!!)
Thankful for a better morning than yesterday!!
Mid wrestling session while waiting for Kendall to get ready for school!
Loving on daddy....
I am having a blast here in Yuma, Arizona. It is so nice to spend time with my hubby without the kiddos & of course meet up with some old friends. (One good thing about the military is that you seem to have friends wherever you go!) I am super excited to say that my newest purchase (FINALLY! After much saving of money) is waiting at home for me to play with on Tuesday! I have to say I am super pumped to work with my new camera! We have also reached a decision about our future orders for the Marine Corps. I won't go into it until we have it finalized but I just want y'all to be in prayer that this is indeed God's will & that everything that needs to occur will occur.
I can't wait to get back and read everyone's blogs! I have been missing the bloggy world but not enough to stop exloring Yuma to catch up on my reading! See you all soon!!
Have a blessed week!
Father, I pray you would help me to not run off on my own, trying to do what I think is right instead of inquiring of You about everything so that I will do what I know is right. Help me not to fall into the traps the enemy has laid for me by forgetting to consult You about everything- even the things I may think I can handle on my own. Amen. Thanks Nicole!
O God guide us through the dark places in life.Grant that we may not fear the loss of thee knowing that you are always by our side, and that life will renew itself in us if we give it time and are willing to wait. And as we rise out of the low places through which we sometimes must walk, help us to be thankful for them, because through them and by them we may be able to help someone else through the darkness into light.
I would have posted this request last night but I had a splitting headache that put me in bed. Anyway, friends of ours from church & my husband's squadron, lost their 3rd son during his birth on October 30th. Please keep them in your prayers, especially their other 2 sons who are so young & I am sure confused and hurting right now.
I promise to post the pictures of the kids first day soon & Isaac 1 year portraits. Man I feel like I am slacking! Sorry things have been super crazy around here!
I did want to pop in and ask all of my christian readers and friends to pray for a few things.
- Our good friends (JT & Kelly) son is having a bad staph skin infection. He is going to see the surgeon tomorrow so please lift them up for a speedy recovery.
- Isaac's room assistant for PMO (also Kendall's old one) is 32 weeks pregnant with super high blood pressures. She was sent to Greenville (the baby also has a suspicious spot behind her heart so the OB wants her to be in specialized care which we don't have here in J'ville.) and is being monitored. They are hoping to make it another 2 weeks and take the baby at 34 weeks giving her lungs a better chance.
- Thirdly, for me tomorrow. I am stepping way out of my comfort zone and facilitating a ladies bible study. Please pray for wisdom, guidance, and that I may teach these ladies something (or that they teach me!)
Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Galatians 6:9
