My super hero

The girls have been hogging all the bloggy spotlight so I wanted to make sure to give my little super hero an update too!
Isaac has been plugging along and growing like a weed. He and Kendall weigh the same and where the same shoe size!
He is into all things super hero. The house now has all kinds of swords and guns. He really cracks me up with all of his playing!
His vocabulary is growing by leaps and bounds. It's fun to hear his sentences. Now if he will talk at school and let his teachers hear.....

Wonderful results

Kendall's labwork came back normal and her growth plate x-ray was spot on as well. We are thrilled that she doesn't have to take any medications and that she's not pre-pubescent! (So not ready for that age and the issues it will bring!)

Stats for the 4 month old

15 lbs 10 oz (75%)
24 in long (70%)
Head off the charts!

4 months old

Sweet Miss Kymber is 4 months old today!
Wow how did that happen?
Your colic and reflux is better! We are so glad of that. You are also doing so much better with your neck.
Let's see....
You are trying to pull your knees up when you are on your belly. (So don't crawl too soon!)
You like to be talked to alot! It is my favorite time of day when you give me your sweet little smile while we are talking about our day.
You have rolled over from your back to your belly once by yourself! So close you just need to get over that shoulder!
You have one little tooth that has popped through the gums.
You have some chunky legs!
You also have a beautiful pair of blue eyes like daddy. (Mommy is hoping that you keep them!)

6 weeks and counting

Of physical therapy that is.....
Kymber has done really well in the past few weeks. She is gaining more strength, more head control, range of motion, etc.
She obviously still favors her left side but we know this is a marathon not a sprint.
The physical therapy is pretty easy. It includes holding her in certain positions and stretching her neck, positioning her head so she is not tilted off to the left, different exercises that strengthen her muscles, and certain "normal" activities that help her situation.
The normal activities include tummy time, sitting upright in bumbo, being up in the exersaucer, etc.
We are pleased that the flattened spots on her skull are starting to round out as well as her face too.
What a journey this little gal has had us on the past four months! Love you crunchy munch! (Isaac's new nickname for you!)

Kendall bug

Kendall had her 6 year old physical yesterday. This picture is after her finger stick. She obviously wasn't happy....I wish this would have been the only unhappiness of the day.
Let me start with a positive. She is healthy, in the 50th percentile for both height (45 inches) and weight (45 lbs.)

I voiced some concerns over a few things to which the MD ordered bloodwork and an X-ray.
The concern is that she might be in pre-pubescent. Obviously, we will need to stop this process if that is the case. We find out the results on Monday. She would have to be referred to an endocrinologist if the results indicate this. Whew!
Kendall continually amazes us every day and it's so hard to believe our first little baby is already 6!

First tooth!

Kymber is almost 4 months old and has her first tooth! It is in the lower back left of her mouth. She also has a tooth coming in the upper back left too. Miss Kymber is by far my earliest teether!

Friendship

It comes in all shapes and sizes. It is patient and kind. It contains laughter and tears. It stands the test of time and distance.
Farewell Kel but not good-bye!

What have I been up to?

The smallest member of our Beach clan has been soaking up her time as an "only child" while the older two are at Grammy and pappy camp.
That is coming to an end this weekend so I thought I should show you what cuddles has been up to!

The end of my title: Captain's wife

Benny will be promoted this week to Major.
It is so very hard to believe that he is at this point already. I remember meeting him as a 2nd LT & it really doesn't feel that long ago!
This will be my first opportunity to pin anything on him so I am pretty excited! We wish that the kiddos could be there but they will still be with my parents on their summer vacation.
It is fun to know that the Marine Corps is definitely a small community as the same man that promoted Ben to captain will be doing his promotion to major.
Ben's promotion will be this Friday at 0845 if any of our Jacksonville friends want to attend.
Stay tuned for pictures and more!
