Blog award

Many thanks for this blog award/hug from Maria at
http://personalizedsketchesandsentiments.blogspot.com/
I enjoy reading Maria's blog and looking at her Etsy shop of personalized sketches. It is fun to have the views of a seasoned military wife like Maria! It gives me hope that I can raise successful children even if they are going to be "military brats!" Thanks again Maria!

And what a perfect theme to talk about...What makes you happy?...
Here are the rules:

List 10 things that make you happy.
(try to do one of those things TODAY!)

Tag 10 bloggers that brighten your day.

Make sure to link back to the person that tagged you!

*********

My 10 things that make me happy:

  1. Sharing time with my family and friends. Y'all really make my life a brighter place and fill me with happiness!
  2. Photography. (Big surprise right?!?) I feel that pictures tell your story and keep history alive. I hope that my children share this passion because they will inheirt a ton of photos!
  3. Crafting. I am not brilliant at all of them but I love to try new ones and work on some old hobbies too!
  4. Talking to elderly people. I love hearing stories about the good ol' days and the pleasure that it brings them to be listened to. It reminds me a lot of my great-grandma and makes me wish that I would have taken more time to listen to her before she passed away.
  5. My children's laughter. It comes with such abandon it always makes me smile!
  6. Traveling, seeing new places, meeting new people.
  7. Military homecomings. Being away from your loved one is HARD. (There is not a word that I can come up with that can describe how hard it is.....) It makes those first, precious moments so enjoyable to witness or experience for yourself.
  8. Girls night out!!!!
  9. A nice pedicure!
  10. Last and certainly not least....my church and church family.

I guess I am going to have to break the last rule :-) Sorry Maria! I am not going to tag 10 but leave this open to everyone who reads my blog. I find y'all interesting and your blogs make me happy! So grab this if you want to!
