To sum it all up......

We hope that this finds all of you well after the Easter weekend and holiday. We had a great Easter and visit with my parents. (Even if as usual it was too short!) Mom and Dad arrived here on Friday afternoon shortly after 3 p.m. Kendall was excited and ran down the stairs waving her Easter balloon at them. She calls Ben's dad PaPa and we normally call my folks Pappy & Grammy. This weekend mom and dad were "papa." She has been asking about them since she woke up today. (They left at 5 a.m.) Let's see some highlights of the trip.....
  • Supper at "Jailhouse BBQ" on Friday night. We had never been there before so we decided to try it out. The bbq wasn't as good as Smithfield's but that is a very large order to fill. Kendall of course did her normal performance of greeting and farewelling everyone that came near our table.
  • We relaxed on Friday night and watched a movie called "The Hunting Party." It was ok. Not the best thing since sliced bread.
  • Saturday we woke up and went straight to the Easter egg hunt at our neighborhood soccer field. Kendall was a little bit afraid at first until I explained we got to go collect eggs with candy in them then she didn't want to wait until they officially started the race. It was fun to watch all of the kids race around. We played at the playground for awhile after that then talked to a few of our friends from around the neighborhood.
  • After that, there was big girl shopping spree. Dad and Ben took Kendall with them to Home Depot for some supplies. I think that they had fun LOL. They worked on getting the crown molding cut and put up in Kendall's new room. It turned out very good.
  • Supper was pure crazinesss on Saturday night. We went to the Olive Garden (only had a 2o minute wait so we were thrilled with that!) at Dad's request. Kendall put on quite a performance there but everyone seemed to think that she was funny so......
  • Whew....there was some watching of March Madness in among all of this too! Ben's picks aren't doing too well but that's life I guess!
  • Sunday had Kendall tearing into her Easter baskets from us and mom & dad. She had such a blast playing with all of her new things.
  • We went to the early Easter service as they were expecting to be overwhelmed with the 0945 that we normally go to. Our youth pastor did a great job with the sermon.
  • We took a family nap then the guys went to the driving range for a little bit. Mom and I entertained Kendall with her new toys.
  • Finally, we decided to order pizza in so that they could enjoy their last night with Kendall and not have to rope her in every 5 minutes. Too bad she was a bit on the cranky side!

Thanks to Mom and Dad for a fun visit and for all of the goodies and work that you helped with around the house!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY Wishes from this weekend to Dan the Man, our sweet niece Gabby, and cousin Gina!!! We hope that ya'll had a great bday and Easter.

CONGRATULATIONS to Sarah and Judd as well! We are excited that ya'll are having another little niece for us :-) Now please have her before we get to Missouri to visit!!
