End of kindergarten!

So we started the year thinking Isaac was in transitional kindergarten. I am thrilled to say even though it was a regular kindergarten class, Isaac seemed to hold his own. He has grown and learned so much this year. I also discovered he has Ben's penmanship. We are working on that!

End of year root beer float social. Isaac really enjoyed Mrs. Warman and Mrs. Casey!

This makes me teary eyed! He's not allowed to be this grown up already!

End of 2nd grade

Kendall completed 2nd grade at Mary Fay Pendleton on May 29, 2014. My sweet, oldest girl did great changing schools from North Carolina and excelled at math this year! As it is a base school, she has said several "see you soons" to friends she made this year. Amazing to see her get into chapter books and she loves to read to her brother! We are so proud of you Kendall bug!!
She received bulldog of the month for May too!
I have a summer birthday so I understood when she asked for me to bring a birthday treat in the last week of school!
Of course little sister liked help h out!!

My little boy

I received a project from Isaac yesterday. Sweet flowers for his mama. I love their gifts like this. I noticed that his hands are almost as big as mine. When did that happen? How did my chubby baby boy end up a stout and solid almost 6 year old?!? I'm thankful for our little space here online where I can journal our everyday moments for the kids to look back and see/remember all the little moments that made up our life as a family!
His very first book report & oral presentation. I hope he doesn't suffer his mamas fear of public speaking!

Our "family" project

So maybe my teacher friends can help me out?! Why do they send home family projects? I understand wanting to assign something that helps you spend time with your children but really more busy work?
We spend an hour + each night doing homework. Kendall and I will be spending part of the day working on her diorama. I think the time when they are home should be dedicated to unwinding a bit especially at their current ages.
Anyway, here was our project from last week. Kendall had fun choosing fabrics to decorate her bunny. As you can see, she ultimately decided to go with pink!
I was outvoted on the silver crown. Now onward to figure out the diorama....I think it might be a space theme!

Birch Aquarium: Volume 1

Another post with my phone pictures and  breAnn's photos! I just want to see how many pictures I can store on my memory card!
We went to an aquarium near La Jolla over spring break. The kids had a pretty good time and there was an awesome view!!

The flower fields at Carlsbad: volume 1

These pictures are the one from my phone and BreAnn's camera. I hope to download my pictures sometime in the next 10 years!!
The kids idea to dress like twins!

Cheese!!!

We didn't color coordinate on purpose!

Spring break movie 2014

We went to see Mr. Peabody and Sherman. Kenzie was awesome as she slept the whole movie. Kendall and Isaac were also pretty good minus a little spilled coke. Kymber a.k.a. Wild child was a bit more taxing! There were jelly beans flying, running down the aisle, and a few other crazy incidents.

Anti- drug and bullying week

The kids just completed their anti drug and bullying week at school. There were some new ideas that the kids hadn't done before! We had fun looking at each day to see what they were going to do/wear.
Day #1
Turn your back on drugs and bullying. (Wear your clothes backward. Purple for anti bullying and red for anti drugs)
Day #2
Sock it to drugs and bullying
"silly sock day"

Day #3
Be a super hero not a bully
Day #4
Follow your dreams and not drugs or bullies
PJ day
day #5
Be a team player, help a bull dog
Wear your favorite sports team
Day #6
Bull dogs are PAWS-itively drug and bully free
Wear your blue spirit shirt
I didn't do a good job getting a picture this day!!

My bulldog of the month

He came home yesterday so very excited. I could barely understand him when he jumped into the car! He apparently is "bulldog of the month." I am not sure exactly what it means but according to Isaac, "I get to do the calendar and all that stuff!"
Congratulations little man! We love you!

Popsicles it is....

I got the privilege of taking sugar free Popsicles to Isaac's class today for his birthday. His class is pretty funny with their questions! My favorite was a little boy who kept asking me what the baby in my belly looked like.
I love this little man so much. It was worth the hassle of getting the Popsicles there!
