35 weeks

Today marks 35 weeks gestation.
I started the day off trying to catch up a little bit in the house. I got the kitchen cleaned up and dinner in the crockpot before I had to rest for an hour.
I went to get a few more baby items after that before heading to physical therapy.
Miss Kymber flipped briefly on Monday after my chiropractor appointment but flipped back on Tuesday. Leanne (my physical therapist) and I believe she has flipped head down again after the session today. I can still feel her bottom the way it should be so hopefully she will stay that way.
I see the chiropractor again tomorrow so hopefully keeping my hips in balance will keep her head down!
My NST's (non-stress tests) start on Friday. I will find out about my cardiology appointment on Friday as well.
Trying to focus on the joy of bringing Kymber into the world, we had a family pregnancy shoot on Sunday and I will be completing the shoot this Friday.
In addition to the maternity photo shoot, I needed to do something crafty (to bring me joy) as I haven't been able to sew at all in over 2 weeks. (I have an addiction to crafting.....I must admit) I made a wreath for our front door with pink flowers in honor of our new little girl. (Pictures below)
It was 15 minutes of pure joy and some of the best therapy to lighten my mood.
Stay tuned for more JOY in regards to Miss Kymber.

Crafting

Hello Blog family!
Have you been wondering what I have been up to? Missing me? Yeah I didn't think so :-)
I am starting up a home-based business here in Jacksonville, NC. (I am also willing to ship so don't think that I am leaving you out!)
I put my nursing license on "inactive" a few weeks ago & something just kind of snapped inside. I love being a SAHM but sometimes I want to do adult functions as well. So I decided to use my craftiness to my advantage. It has been hugely satisfying the past few weeks to be putting my hands to work.
So I just wanted to give you the website to take a look at......
http://skidzwifecreations.blogspot.com/
If you can take a peek & tell me what you think I would greatly appreciate it! You can also find me on Facebook at
http://www.facebook.com/pages/Jacksonville-NC/Skidz-Wife-Creations/149407355090489?v=info#!/pages/Jacksonville-NC/Skidz-Wife-Creations/149407355090489?ref=ts
Please pass me on to your friends and family!
Some things that I will be offering are......
  • Scenery Photography
  • Diaper cakes & wreaths
  • Floral centerpieces
  • Floral wreaths
  • Decorative burp cloths
  • Baby blankets
  • Lovey (or cuddle bug blanekts)
  • Embellished Children's t-shirts
  • Embellished Onesies
  • Little girl bow holders
  • sack dresses
And possibly more!
So please go give me some feedback and love!!

Relaxing Labor day and you?!

Hello my bloggy friends and family!
I hope that your Labor day weekend was just as relaxed as ours was! We spent some time at the beach (probably the last trip of the summer), enjoying each other around the house, time with friends, and well RELAXING!
In all of that relaxing, I was a major blog slacker. Guilty as charged! That is because with lots of prayer, thought, & talking with the hubs, I decided to participate in our Camp Lejeune craft fair this year. I was doing a lot of prepping, sewing, and brainstorming this weekend. I hope to share pictures soon. It will be baby and small children items. Anyone have any fun ideas that they would like to see put into action? Let me know!
Well I promise I will get caught up on here (and reading everyone else's) soon but I must wake my children up as their pre-school starts today! WOO HOO!!

Craft time....bow holder

Quite a few months ago, my friend Lindsay won a bow holder during a blog giveaway. I really liked it and the idea behind it. No matter how I tried to organize all of Kendall's hair accessories it never seemed to work. I was going to just do an inital painted up really fun but I went to 3 stores which were all out of the letter "K." I figured that was a sign to try another avenue.
***********************
I began with this unfinished shelf.......
Painted it white to match her bedroom furniture. Hot glued wooden lady bugs to match her other lady bugs and then hot glued the ribbons to the back. Presto!
And here it is with a large majority of her hair accessories on it! I hope that it helps us stay much more organized!

Now I can go shopping for more at my friends stores!!

More crafts, more pictures, more me

Kendall on our mommy/daughter date today. (I have been trying to spend our hour alone together on Monday and Wednesdays by doing some fun stuff.) She was a little under the weather today so she wasn't as wild as usual!
Kendall made a cookie in music class today. Yep music class!

"I can't believe my eyes...last night it wasn't like this!"

I made my first fleece blanket in 2005 while Ben was deployed to Iraq. My friend, Erin, taught myself & Michelle how to do these. I bought material right after we found out Isaac was a boy (so about 18 months ago.) I finally finished Kendall's and now have 2 more to make for Isaac. Here is the finished product for our Bug.
The diaper cake that I made for my friend, Natalie's, baby shower this past weekend. I have no picture of Natalie and I because (audible GASP) I forgot my camera was in my purse!
So here is a picture from back at Easter when Nat was still pregnant with McKinley!

Fall crafts for me

Centerpiece for our breakfast nook table
View #2 of it. This is my favorite of the day
front door wreath
Centerpiece for our dining room table. I am not super happy with the bow I made but I need to practice or get lessons!

I LOVE decorating for fall. Of all the seasons, this is my favorite for decorating. I always see all of these creations that are horribly overpriced. I decided that I could do it myself and I did :-) I have so many vases from Benny sending me flowers that I also wanted to do something to recycle them! It was very relaxing for me (minus not having a pair of wire snippers big enough for some of the flowers.) For just under $50, I created these 3 and I have enough for 2 more small pieces. I would like to create a centerpiece for our raffle at ladies bible study but I need to get some more hefty duty wire sheers first! Hope you enjoy :-) (And if you know anyone who wants to purchase one.....I am thinking about making it a side business to go with the diaper cakes!)

Pictures of the day

This is Isaac's "new" car seat. It was installed in the burb this evening. Kind of makes it feel like he is coming soon :-)
Thanks Stef!!
Just because she asked for her picture to be taken!
My feet after their pedicure pampering yesterday. Kendall loves the color. Wish I could get down to paint her toes!
Benny has been wanting to make our bed frame for quite awhile but hasn't had the time. He went with a quick HGTV solution for the time being. He made these padded headboards to last us until he can make our 4 poster.
Ben also wanted to clean up the garage so he built a new storage overhead. It is so nice to have the lumber up off of the floor! The garage looks great!
