A new chapter

You know the saying.....it's not official until it's Facebook official. Well I did that earlier this week and I also wanted to make sure to remember it here on our blog of family memories.
I am very excited, scared, thankful,  and nervous to be stepping into a full time school nurse position this year.
I have learned so much over the past 2 years of substitute school nursing but I know that I have barely scratched the surface. I am praying that in the current season of COVID that I can bring calm, education, and wellness to the staff and family!
Oh and for those asking, I am still able to work a bit at the college. They have offered me the ability to do the online grading portion/office hours for the CNA program.
Very thankful and so blessed for these amazing opportunities this year!

.....and it shows.
So for my fellow curly girls. What is your favorite method of controlling your hair when you are active?

Dance life at the Beach house

Life as we know it has been turned upside down. (Like most of the USA) Our dance studio has transitioned to online classes to keep the kids engaged.

Part of me is grateful. Sound odd to you? Yeah I get that as it felt weird to think it and say it. Without this virus,  the girls wouldn't have the opportunity to take all the classes that they have been blessed with this past week.

Today Kendall did lyrical, hip hop, advanced pom, and acro. So proud of the studio and the girls for being so adaptable.

Just me...... ???

Today we added in journaling time. Pretty sure that none of the kids like me currently  but that's ok!

Virtual learning/ homeschool/ uncharted territory

Today officially started a journey into uncharted territory. I never had the desire to homeschool and I have never felt called to homeschool. But like most of yall,  I am home with 4 children who need to learn. I am grateful for the guidance and materials from their teachers but also for the flexibility of being able to add to their education.
Was it perfect? NO.
Did we have behavioral issues? YES.
Did we get everything done? NO.
Did they learn? YES.
I AM CALLING IT A SUCCESS. AND GETTING READY FOR TOMORROW.

Today is the day that we celebrate our law enforcement. I am thankful each and every day for the men and women who put on a uniform and protect us!
