Not me Monday!

I most definitely did not drink out of my son's sippy cup (with the lid on) in the middle of lunch traffic because I was desperately thristy.

I did not enjoy my daughter thinking that my braces were so cool because her father told her that they were mommy's new jewelry. (And now she wants some!)

I didn't get all choked up when my sweet hubby brought me home flowers last week the day that I got my braces....NOT Me....I never cry!

I absolutely didn't cry at yesterday's Army Wives then explain to my daughter what was going on & why I was sad.

I did not laugh at Kendall on Saturday when we were on Shackleford Island & she refused to pee in the ocean. (The only inhabitants on this island are the horses so the ocean really is the bathroom!) Poor potty-training toddler!

Not me Monday!

Whoa Boy. I haven't done one of these in quite awhile so I better drag all of the dirty laundry out of the closet....so to speak.I most definitely did not pull a diaper cover out of my daughter's drawer for her to wear as big girl undies because there were no clean big girl undies.I have not been calling every meat that I make chicken so that Kendall will eat it. Not ME!I didn't give my 10 month old a chocolate chip cookie for "breakfast"this morning so that I could finish my menu planning for the week before my friend Kelly got here.I haven't seriously been considering making our rottie eat all of the dirty diapers instead of throwing them in the trash. (Because he eats a large majority of them anyway.)I did not cave in and let Kendall get Diego boys pull ups because she didn't want the little girl kind!I ABSOLUTELY did not agree with my 3 year old when she said that it was "Daddy's job to pooperscoop the lawn."I also did not encourage her to spank my husband because he was being a bad boy!I didn't laugh at Isaac when he got stuck under the breakfast nook chair, the gate to the stairs, and the couch.I have been absolutely leaving Isaac cry a little bit longer before I pick him up just like my husband asked me to do.Well that certainly feels better to have that off my chest! Not Me Monday!

• I absolutely did not think about throwing an applesauce covered carrot back at my daughter when she hit me in the back with it while throwing a temper tantrum.
• I absolutely did not use a curse word at the elderly gentleman who was SPEEDING & almost hit me, my cart, and my 8 month old son in the cross walk at Target while it was pouring down rain. (I have been doing so good at not using any bad language too!)
• I most definitely did not laugh whenever Kendall pulled her pull-up to the side so that she could pee on the ground like her friends, Austin & Jaden, did.
• I didn't feel like crying when we sold some of the baby toys at our yard sale.
• I surely didn't use the hem of my shirt to wipe Isaac's nose with since we were out and about & I had no tissues.
• No way did I sit on the floor and cuddle with some of the kids clothes that I am having to put away since they are too small now.
• The thought of riding in my daughter's new battery operated jeep never crossed my mind.
• I am absolutely not caving into every wish of Kendall's for her birthday party this year!
• I was not jealous of all the little baby girl clothes at the shower we threw for my friend Kim last weekend. (Not even thinking about wanting another baby either!)

Not Me Monday!

I didn't let my child pick up jelly beans off of the floor & eat them in the ready room of my husband's squadron just because it made her be quiet for an instant while we were putting Easter baskets together for the foster children of Craven county. (They only fell in plastic bags so they weren't techincally on the floor!)
I ABSOLUTELY didn't consider leaving Isaac in his crib after I found him (& the crib) covered in diarrhea & vomit at 12:15 a.m. I also Absolutely didn't go into my bedroom to wake my husband up to help me only to realize that he was not there & still in California. After bathing poor Isaac, I didn't bring him water, tub, & all into his room so that I could strip the crib in silence. (He likes to be nursed after his bath and screams until he gets his way.) I also didn't just lay a clean towel on the crib mattress because I just couldn't face making up the crib at almost 1 a.m. I didn't go through 2 bottles of Spot Shot this week cleaning up various other poopy messes on the couch & floor. I also didn't go through a bottle of Spray N Wash on kids clothes this week that were covered in poop & puke.

There you have it.....it's been kind of a poopy week.

I ABSOLUTELY Did Not find the most awesome babysitter ever this past week. Thanks Virgina! So I have a few friends that I trust here in J'ville to watch my crazy munchkins but what happens when all of them are busy or Ben and I just really need a night out? Enter our new found babysitter Virgina. She filled in for me in a pinch yesterday.
I ABSOLUTELY did not breathe a sigh of relief when the above mentioned babysitter told me that I had missed a blow out of massive proportions from Kendall while I was gone. (It required a bath, rinsing out several articles of clothes & shoes!) Did I mention how wonderful she is???
I did not lie to my firstborn telling her that popcorn shrimp are "shrimp chicken" so that she would not be upset that we weren't having the real thing.
I didn't think about giving my camera to Kendall so that it might break on accident & then we would have a reason to get a new one. (Thanks to Lindsay for voicing her thoughts on wanting a new camera! It inspired this random thought!)
I wouldn't think about turning Isaac forward facing to see the tv in the car so he would stop crying on road trips. (He is after all bigger than some 1 year olds!! I would never do this mind you so don't go thinking that I am a crazy loon!)
And last but not least, I didn't fall in the tub with my 2.5 year old & 6 month old while trying to hold the 6 month old up. NOT ME!

I did not tell Kendall that if you picked your nose and ate it that worms come out of your butt. (Thanks Melissa!!)
I have not tried to feed Isaac an extra tub of baby food so that I can get a few more hours of sleep in between feedings.
I absolutely did not gag when I changed Isaac's squash/sweet potatoe/carrots diaper the other day.
I did not let Kendall take a shower with me so it would be one less bath to do.
I didn't send Kendall to her daddy with a runny nose to wipe because all the snot was grossing me out!
I am not ordering Potty Patty for Kendall because she has defeated me in the potty training realm.

Thanks to Lindsay for introducing me to Not Me! Monday.I did not let Isaac suck on his fingers and/or thumb just because it keeps him quiet for a few moments of peace.I did not let Kendall fall alseep to her t.v. just because it avoids a confrontation right before bedtime and I was too tired to do battle.I did not sleep on the couch so that I could put Isaac in his swing to get a few restless hours of sleep.Not once last week did I bathe Kendall (leaving Isaac's bath to my wonderful hubby) because it is easier to do her bath than Isaac's.I never smell a burp cloth to see if I can get one more use out of it before throwing it in the wash.I always put the folded laundry away the same day that I folded it in the first place. Which has never lead to finding an outfit that Isaac has only worn once and already has grown out of.I did not stand in the shower and make the 30 second debate of whether I needed to shave my legs or wash my hair.NOT ME!!!
