Gratitude/turkey trot 5k

Ben and Kendall were our finishers this morning. I knew going in that I would probably not finish due to my hip so I was pleased to get a mile in. Isaac was under the weather so he got 1.5 miles in and had to call it quits. Kendall ran 95% of the race with Ben....girls on the run here we come!!

Run for the Warriors

It all started with one simple comment from Kendall...
"Mommy you look like you have another baby in your tummy."
And ended up with me running a 5k with some of the best friends that a girl could ask for!
We completed this race this past weekend.
My final times were not the best but I completed it and didn't end up in the ambulance afterwards!
I ran it in 39 min:03seconds
497 overall out of 799
43 out of 74 in my age group....
gives me something to shoot for in the next one!

Turkey Trot....my first 5k!

I ran my first 5k on Thanksgiving morning with Benny and some of my favorite in-laws Jim, Laura, Daniel, and Judd. It was in Paris, Texas at a brisk 37 degrees! Thank goodness that Laura was there to push me along! I feel that my time was pretty good for all the more training that I got done before hand!
