So this is what 525 Hershey kisses in a jar looks like!
Too bad we need 816! I guess we will go back to the store to get the remaining 291 kisses.
We have started our deployment countdown activities while Ben is finishing up his training. This is our "kiss a day while daddy is away" jar. We still have to finish filling it with the appropriate amount of kisses and of course decorate it!
This was a lot of math for this poor pregnancy brain to figure out! Ben will be gone approximately 272 days (unless he is extended) and there are 3 kiddos in need of daily kisses so ta da 816 kisses!

I worked all day on crafts for VBS. (We had our first big meeting on Sunday where I had to explain what we would be doing to the pre-school volunteers.)
And there you have it!
Day #22 (Sunday)- We spent a large portion of the day mowing, weeding the beds again!, and just general lawn clean-up.
Day #23 (Monday)- Today the "Bunny" came early and delivered rain boots for the kids. It was a perfect day to wear them with the storms and rain! Kendall had her Easter party for school today as well. I got my braces off today as well!!

My books from Amazon have started coming in! I am so excited to start reading them!
A large portion of the day was spent doing laundry...10 loads of it to be exact.
Day #25 (Wednesday)
Today was Kendall's parent/teacher conference. I was grateful to talk with her teacher to find out a few pointers to encourage her along the way to kindergarten.
After that, Kendall and I went to Hancock Fabrics to get some fabric to make the bandana dresses that I promised her.
Day #26 (Thursday)
Our last day of "Breaking Free" ladies bible study.
Kara (our ladies ministry leader) got us this beautiful cross as a thank-you for facilitating.
Day #27 (Friday)
Grammy and Pappy arrive to give mommy some relief here in NC.

We have several projects going at our house right now. We are upgrading several things being that we might have to rent or sell this year.
We decided to start our flooring project in the kids bathroom. After watching a HGTV show, we decided to go with corkwood flooring for it. We are going to look at this bathroom for a bit then decide if we are going to do the masterbath in it as well.
We have a "jungle" theme in there but Kendall loves dolphins so we had to add the rug for her!
Isaac has been very curious about the potty so I caught him in action here. (Right before I put him up on the potty!
There is no corkwood threshhold so we are not super happy with this transition piece but it was the closest that we could find for the color.

The kitchen is still a work in progress right now......
We decided to add hardware to the cabinetry. WOW what a difference it made! It was like a whole new kitchen when I walked in there.
Neither Ben or I was fond of the big flourescent light that we had in the kitchen. We decided due to wiring issues, time constraints, and funding that we would buy a trendier looking light fixture. Here is the new one.
This is the final wall color for the kitchen. When we have it completely painted, I will post more pics!
